Coming off a 10-win season, it’s hard to imagine that the Neshaminy High School football team — the 2017 defending Suburban One champion — can produce a better on-the-field product in 2018.
However, with three of the Skins’ top talents (QB Brody McAndrew, WR Cory Joyce, and LB/TE Oleh Manzyk) returning, the 2018 Redskins could be even more dominant than last year’s team.
McAndrew has a year of experience, Manzyk’s collegiate interest continues to increase, and Joyce will be one of the top deep-threat receivers in Bucks County.
Expect the Redskins to surpass the 10-win mark they achieved last season.

McAndew stepped up in a big way in his first season as the starting quarterback, throwing for 1,874-yards and 17 passing touchdown while surrendering just four interceptions.
The 6-foot-3 junior discusses (see video below) how things will be different this season, who his go-to targets will be, and how he’s embracing an expanded leadership role.
One of McAndrew’s go-to targets will again be All-State Class 6A tight end and linebacker Oleh Manzyk. WBCB’s Ben Medland spoke with the Redskins duel-threat senior (see video below).
A position player McAndrew will be far less familiar with is sophomore running back Chris James. With Joel Stills and Mike Crecenzo graduating, expect the shifty sophomore to be the lead man out of the backfield for the Redskins. WBCB’s Evan Easterling caught up with the Skins’ new backfield threat (see video below).
Returning Offensive Starters: WR Cory Joyce, WR Zach Canimore, TE Bobby Buchys, TE Oleh Manzyk, FB Tyler Foster.
Returning Defensive Starters: DE Luke Hitchen, LB Oleh Manzyk, LB Chris Majors, CB Logan Williamson, FS Cory Joyce, CB Marcus Griffen
Most Impactful 2017 Roster Loss: Joel Stills and Mike Garlick
“Joel really came on strong for us at running back as the year progressed,” head coach Steve Wilmot said. “He was also a really talented corner.” Similar to Stills, Wilmot explained that Mike Garlic will be missed on both sides of the ball. “He got large chunks of yards for us on offense,” Wilmot said. “He made some really clutch plays. He was the spirited leader on our defense as well.”
2018 Player To Look Out For: QB Brody McAndrew and WR Cory Joyce
“The Brody McAndrew to Cory Joyce connection is one to watch out for all season,” Wilmot said.
2018 Player That Might Surprise People: RB Chris James
“I don’t think Chris James is on anyone’s map,” Wilmot said. “I really expect him to surprise people.”
WBCB’s Evan Easterling and Ben Medland contributed to this report.
